TAYLOR, Marie Roberta (nee Lindberg) QSO.
24 September 1932 – 4 May 2026, aged 93.
Peacefully on 4 May in Auckland. Devoted wife of John (deceased) and ever- loving mother of Richard, Susan, Jenny and Alison. Mother-in-law of Christine, Brent, Ray and Greg. Proud and loving grandmother of Emily, Elliott, James, Paige, Ollie, Charlotte, Caroline, Henry, John, George and Tom, and great- grandmother of Hugh, Harvey, Maisie, Piper, Zephyr and Penelope. Sister of Geoff (deceased).
The end of a full life, well lived, remembered as a true supporter of many worthwhile organisations including St Aidan’s, St Cuthberts, National Council of Women, Association of Anglican Women, YWCA. Strong and steadfast in her faith, enabling her to rest peacefully.
A service celebrating Marie’s life will be held at St Aidan’s Anglican Church, 5 Ascot Avenue, Remuera on Friday 8 May at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations made in Marie’s name to Auckland City Mission – Te Tapui Atawhai aucklandcitymission.org.nz would be appreciated.
