FOY, George Michael (Mick).

Mick passed away peacefully on 27 February 2026, aged 86, doing what he loved – napping and watching sport on TV.

Dearly loved husband to Heather and adored Dad and Grandpa “Mick” to Kylie, Michael, Sam, Milly and Jack; and Mark, Christina, Charlie and Stella. Beloved brother of Angela and Graham, Father Pat Foy, Sister Mary Foy, Tony and Marilyn; and brother-in-law of Ian, Grant, Andrew and Michelle, and Cecily and Phil, and their families.

A life well lived, full of family, friends, sport and laughter.

A heartfelt thank you to Judi, Jocelyn and the staff at Meadowbank Village and Remuera Rise for their compassion and care.

A funeral service to celebrate Mick, will be held on Saturday 7th of March, 2026, 12pm, at Sacred Heart Chapel, Sacred Heart College, 250 West Tamaki Road, Glendowie, Auckland. After match to follow the funeral.
