Norman Michael Thomas Geary CBE

On 12 February 2026 passed away unexpectedly and peacefully at Auckland Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Aged 87.

Beloved husband of (the late) Marianne Geary for 57 years.

Dearly loved father of Christine, Andrea and Fiona and much-loved father-in-law of Neville. Adored grandfather of Alexandra, Sebastian and Genevieve. Loved brother of Ian and Diane and (the late) Colin and Graham Geary.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the SPCA at www.spca.nz/ donate. A service to celebrate Norman’s life will be held at St Mary’s-in-Holy Trinity Cathedral, Parnell, on Monday 23rd February 2026 at 2.30pm.
