Terry Nobbs

Terry died on 13 November 2025 as a result of an accident aged 90.  Terry was husband of the late, and greatly loved, Beth (nee Crawford), brother to Christine (UK), uncle to Adrian and Martin.

Terry was a former merchant navy engineer. He worked in the railway workshops at Otahuhu until they closed in 1992. Involved with the Sailors’ Society for over 30 years, manager and board member of the Auckland Seafarers’ Centre for 25 years and a life member of the Centre.

Grateful thanks to the staff of Rangitoto Ward Auckland Hospital for their care over the last days of Terry’s life. A private cremation is being held. A Memorial Service will be held at 10.00am Tuesday 2^nd December 2025 at All Saints Chapel, Purewa 100 St Johns Road Meadowbank.
